This week, I'm busy out working on a landscaping job on an eco-home development. But you will still have a forest garden livestream, even if it's coming from a layby 😆.
I’ll be looking at the choice of fruit trees, bearing in mind the rootstock, final size and height, pollinating partners and position for different species. I will also illustrate basic wildlife garden features, for even the most seemingly straightforward of gardens.
There will be an informal Zoom chat afterwards at 10.30am, all welcome.

Green roof bonananza
I’m helping create a green roof for a client’s seating area and I can’t help but notice that there’s an awful lot of information circulating about green roofs. My favourite podcast Roots and All has an episode Green Roofs with Dr Anna Zakrisson and my favourite US podcast Growing Greener has an episode Green Roofs – Meadows in the Sky with Laura Hansplant.
And don’t forget to look at John Little’s work, he’s a hole digger and green roof expert, with an interview on Roots and All.

Work continues apace (albeit a slow pace) on the forestgardengallery.uk. Organising the photos along the lines of Martin Crawford’s book Creating a Forest Garden, we are currently researching about 460 plants, and plan to upload about 2,000 photographs.
