Online Mapping Tools
I like to create all my forest garden plans using CAD, specifically with the Open Source software QCAD. But, CAD does have a steep learning curve. In some situations, an online mapping tool such as Scribble Maps may be more appropriate.
Using our very own Forest Garden Nuttery, I will compare and contrast the differences between a CAD plan and a Scribble Map. TL;DR Scribble Maps uses Google Maps and isn’t very high resolution. However, it is easier to use than CAD and the map is easily published.
As normal, and informal Zoom chat afterwards at 10.30am, all welcome, although I might have to scoot a bit earlier.

Scribble Maps, lower resolution but more easily shareable

Photo gallery of forest garden plants
Slowly, slowly, building forestgardengallery.uk. This is a forest garden photo gallery organised along the lines of Martin Crawford’s book Creating a Forest Garden. There's a couple of species being uploaded each week, so it’ll take a while to cover the 462 species. Oh yes.
If you want to help, you can do some picture research. I have written up instructions, plus made a 9 minute YouTube video. There’s also a supportive WhatsApp group. Email me [email protected] for details 🙂
