How much for a forest garden?

After working on a 10 garden eco-home development, using forest garden techniques, I thought it would be interesting to look at how much it would cost for planting and building a complete forest garden on a 1 acre greenfield site.

Many people will quite readily spend thousands on a new kitchen, whereas many few will spend a similar amount on a forest garden.

There will be an informal Zoom chat afterwards at 10.30am, all welcome.

Wood chip mulch. You’ll always need lots of mulch!

Photo gallery of forest garden plants

We’re still working on the forestgardengallery.uk. The photos are organised along the lines of Martin Crawford’s book Creating a Forest Garden, the same as the Forest Garden Spreadsheet. We are currently researching about 460 plants, and plan to upload about 2,000 photographs.

You can help speed things, by doing some picture research! I have written up instructions, plus I've made a 9 minute YouTube video explaning the research process. There’s also a supportive Telegram group. Email me [email protected] for details 🙂
